Sending Love

Valentines Day often gets a bad rep as being just a greeting card holiday, but its one of my favorites.  I love sending (and receiving...ahem) snail mail! Every year I send out a little batch of valentines to my girl friends to remind them that I love and appreciate their friendship. Usually I enjoy making these valentines but some years, (like this one) i'm just too busy so i do the next best thing: send valentines created by one of my art crushes, Papaya!  These little gems are available at The Wilde Room. I love the mix media art, the use of photographs, flowers, the glitter embellishments, and text.  One of the philosophies of this artist turned company is the idea of Creative Abandon! They ultimately answer to their own creative impulses. Papaya believes in a no apologies policy of artistic & manufacturing experimentation.

And I can totally relate to their notion of being true to the brand and themselves. they dont create or sell anything that they aren't totally in love with. which means they won't be making anything just because it sells. I love that.

  3. Sending a V-day card is a wonderful thoughtful thing to do. I think for many adults, V-day loses it meaning but it is always great to remind those that we love that we are always thinking of them
